Greetings! Welcome to 3rd Grade!
I am excited for a year of learning and growth for the students, parents, and myself. This will be my first year as a teacher as well as my first year teaching at St. Anthony School. I live in Tacoma, Washington, and have been a lifetime member of the Saint Patrick Parish and community. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Education degree majoring in Elementary Education from Central Washington University.
As a teacher, I seek to connect with my students on a personal level to understand who they are as learners and people. I believe that students learn best if they are engaged in material that is relevant and of interest to them. I will take necessary steps for my students to feel comfortable in the classroom community so they can take risks in their learning. In my own life, I have made a commitment to lifelong learning; I hope to inspire my students to pursue knowledge and mastery throughout their lives as well.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy exploring the environment around us and expressing creativity through art. My favorite hobbies are learning about native wildlife of the Pacific Northwest and ceramics.
Favorite Bible Verse:
Genesis 9:16: “Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant
between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."
