4th Grade Teacher

Overview: St. Anthony School, a vibrant, 380-student Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Seattle, is seeking to hire a 4th grade teacher to join our dedicated faculty team in Fall 2025. With two classrooms per grade, teachers work collaboratively, participate in professional learning community (PLC) activities, and have common planning time. We are seeking to hire a positive, prepared and dedicated Catholic school educator to join our strong faculty team and help us fulfill our school mission.

Requirements and Key Responsibilities: 

  • Holds the knowledge and skills to implement effective instructional strategies for student success through a highly organized, motivated, creative, and collaborative approach to teaching
  • Utilizes standards-based assessments and grading and consistently uses formative assessments to drive instruction
  • Develops and implements lesson plans aligned with Common Core State Standards and learning objectives
  • Creates a rigorous and supportive classroom learning environment that fosters student engagement and encourages students to be respectful, responsible, and reverent. 
  • Evaluates and communicates student progress effectively with students, parents, and administrators
  • Utilizes technology as a tool for enhanced teaching and learning
  • Differentiates instruction so all students able to achieve mastery of learning targets
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills
  • Effectively and consistently communicates with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Preferred, but not required, that the successful candidate will be a practicing Catholic. 
  • Holds a current State of Washington teacher certification certificate or the ability to obtain one

Salary/Benefits Information: Salary range: $44,714 - $88,825. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.

School Counselor

St. Anthony School is seeking a school counselor to join our dynamic pre-K through eighth grade staff. The school counselor works with students, parents, and staff to support the social and emotional development of students. 

St. Anthony School is a welcoming and beautifully diverse Catholic school, serving 380 students from nearly 20 zip codes. St. Anthony is committed to promoting and maintaining an inclusive culture, enabling students to perform and progress at their highest level. Our mission is to educate children to be joyous, loving, and Christ-centered people capable of serving others and bettering the world.

Areas of focus will include:

  • Building positive relations with students
  • Providing individual and group counseling
  • Working with students, parents, teachers, and outside providers to create and implement behavioral and educational support
  • Peer relations and social skills
  • Self-regulation and personal identity development
  • Parent education and community outreach

KEY DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Counsel individuals and groups to address the needs of the school community
  • Participate as a member of the Student Support Team (SST) to focus on student needs and advise on appropriate SEL accommodations
  • Provide staff with ongoing professional development in areas of social/emotional and behavior support
  • Assist with parent education and serve as a resource for parents and families
  • Communicate closely with teachers and administrators regarding student and family concerns

A successful candidate will possess the following skills and characteristics:

  • WA State certification as a school counselor; other professional certification (i.e, MSW, LMHC) will be considered
  • Experience working with the academic, social, and emotional needs of elementary age students and parents in a school setting
  • Ability to handle sensitive / confidential information with parents, teachers and administrators
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making
  • Experience working with diverse student populations
  • Background or experience in faith-based schools preferred
  • Demonstrates a commitment to Catholic education and to the mission of St. Anthony School (practicing Catholic preferred, but not required)
  • At least 2-3 years experience working with children in the area of mental and social health/development
  • Experience presenting information to parents on childhood development and providing educational resources for parents on social-emotional topics

Salary: The pay range for this position is between $44,714 - $88,825 based on negotiated days per week.  The role will be 3 - 5 days/week depending on the candidate’s availability and needs of the school. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications

Substitute Teachers

Job Description: 

St. Anthony School is seeking certified substitute teachers on an on-call basis for grades Pre-K through 8th grade. Successful candidates will join our substitute teacher pool to fill short- and long-term sub positions depending on need.

 

Applicant Requirements
 
  • Hold a current Washington State Teaching Certificate or the equivalent from another state or hold a substitute certificate
  • Be mission-centered with a strong desire to be part of a faith-based community
  • Demonstrate the ability to create a safe and engaging classroom learning environment
  • Model excellent classroom management skills
