7A homeroom and 7th/8th Math - phone ext. 6184
Welcome to 7th and 8th grade Math. I am excited to be joining the Junior High team this year. I graduated from St. Anthony in 2002 and went on to become a Kennedy Lancer! I received my BA in K-8 education with a Minor in Middle Level Mathematics from Central Washington University in 2010. I went on to teach math in Tukwila at Showalter Middle School from 2010-2019. I took some time off to raise my kids but teaching is more than just a job, it is a passion and a calling and I couldn’t stay away for long. I came back to teaching as a sub in 2024 and taught 6th grade math last year at St. Anthony. I am a firm believer in the power of having a growth mindset; your intelligence and abilities can be developed through dedication, effort and perseverance. When I am not in the classroom you can find me in the gym coaching volleyball, belting out show tunes in my car or shuttling my kids around to all their many extra curricular events.
Favorite Bible Verse:
"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue." (Proverbs 31:25-26)

8A Homeroom - 7th/8th Social Studies - phone: Ext. 6183
Director of Athletics Welcome to 7th and 8th grade Social Studies! I am thrilled to be working with your child for this new and exciting school year. This is my 20th year teaching, and 19th year teaching in Catholic schools. I am a University of Washington graduate with my B.A. in History - Go Huskies! I received my Masters in Teaching from Western Washington University. Teaching at a Catholic school has been quite fulfilling; it has brought me closer to my faith, but more importantly, it has provided me an opportunity to teach and mentor students in a faith-filled and high academic environment. It is my hope that students who graduate from St. Anthony School leave with solid Catholic values, become critical thinkers, and are ready to transform the world into a better place. I enjoy playing basketball, volleyball, attending UW Husky athletic events, and being with family and friends.
Favorite Bible Verse: "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy) |

Welcome to seventh and eighth Grade ELA (and 8B Religion!)! I'm thrilled to be starting my eighth year at St. Anthony School. In 1996 I earned my BA in History from Eastern Washington University (Go Eagles!). After a time working in retail and for the government, I earned my MA in Education at Pacific Lutheran University; I've also completed some post-graduate work for Educational Administration at Western Washington University. This will be my 26th year in Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Seattle. My favorite thing about teaching middle schoolers is the feeling of collaboration between teacher and student to learn new things. I enjoy trying new restaurants and my sister and I have season tickets to the Seattle Sounders.
Favorite Bible Verse:
"You have been told, O mortal, what is good, and what the Lord requires of you: To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8

Welcome to Jr. High! I'm delighted to start my 3rd year teaching at St Anthony School. I received my Master's in Secondary Science from Western Governors University along with a Bachelor's in Forestry and Environmental Science from the University of Washington. I previously taught Physics at Orting High School, along with Earth and Space Science at Cascade Christian Jr. High in Puyallup. I love sharing the details and mysteries of science with all of my students and love planting the seed of science inquiry in each of them. I live with my husband and sixth-grade daughter in Bonney Lake. I enjoy running marathons and walking my German Shepherd in my spare time.
Favorite Bible Verse:
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8)
