The Catholic Academic Junior High Decathlon (AJHD) is a fun and challenging opportunity for our students to showcase their academic talents while competing alongside students from Catholic schools across the Archdiocese. The Decathlon team at St. Anthony School was established in 2026 by our founding coaches Carey Riggio and Ashley Fitzgerald. This year’s competition features 10 events, including team competitions and individual events in Religion, English, Literature, Science, Mathematics, Current Events, Social Studies, and Fine Arts.

Team Meeting Dates:

• November 3
• December 1
• January 26
• March 2 (Mock Decathlon)

The Academic Decathlon competition will be held on March 6 at Kennedy Catholic High School. Students selected to compete will be required to remain for the entire event. Parents are welcome to attend the morning welcome and prayer and are invited to watch the Super Quiz and attend the awards ceremony at the end of the day.

Much of the preparation will happen outside of our monthly meetings. Students will be expected to study independently using materials posted in our Academic Decathlon Google Classroom.

We are excited to begin this new adventure with our students and look forward to a great season together!

If you have any questions, please contact our Academic Junior High Decathlon Coaches, Mrs. Carey Riggio or Mrs. Ashley Fitzgerald.
