Music Program

In music class, students will learn about music theory, music history, and music performance techniques. Students will perform in concerts throughout the year where they will sing diverse repertoire with clear, consistent, and healthy vocal production. Students will learn to use music as a form of self expression, and this will contribute to their abilities as young musicians.

About Ms. Sarah Santos, Music Teacher
I'm delighted to be joining the St. Anthony School community as the Pre-K–8 Music Teacher! Music has given me lifelong friendships, unforgettable experiences, and so much joy, and I hope to help my students discover that same excitement every time they walk into the music room.

I earned my Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Houston Christian University and my Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Washington. Over the past 16 years, I've had the privilege of teaching students of all ages in schools, churches, universities, and private studios. I believe every student has something unique to contribute, and my goal is to create a classroom where students feel encouraged to sing boldly, explore creatively, and enjoy making music together.

When I'm not teaching or performing as a soprano, you'll probably find me hiking a local trail, reading a good book, or convincing my cat, Obi, that he's not actually in charge. I look forward to meeting all of the wonderful students and families at St. Anthony and sharing a joyful year of music together!
