Since Monday, March 16th, St. Anthony School students successfully transitioned and continued their education through Distance Learning.
Each evening by 8:00 pm, the following day's lesson plans for each class were posted and available for parents to download. All worksheets and necessary items were available in those downloads.
For the school day, a combination of Zoom and Google Meet class meetings, teacher recorded videos, Google Classroom assignments, and several online learning platforms (Mystery Science, IXL, Lalio) were used by our students to continue their educations. Students without laptops were given Chromebooks to use at home.
Though we don't anticipate having to move to full-time distance learning in the Fall, St. Anthony School is prepared to meet any school closure challenges that may arise.
Our Principal, Mr. Cantu, in conjunction with the Board of Health and the Office of Catholic Schools, is working on three separate plans for reopening in the Fall. You can read about each of them here.
