Welcome families to a new school year, 2022-2023!

St. Anthony Library is a wonderful place where students are supported and encouraged through the gift of reading. Kindergarten through 5th grade visit the library once a week. Students are welcomed with a read-aloud story, discussion on main points, a hands-on activity, and an opportunity to check out books. Students are also encouraged to look at different genres and think beyond the box. For students in junior high, they may check out books in the afternoon and find a quiet place to do research and study. There is also a computer station, where students may browse all titles in our library. Our library also offers a comfortable environment, reading couches and chairs, a tent for buddy reading, and quiet corners for our individual readers. Class ends with community clean up and prayer. No matter what type of reader your student is, there is something for everyone. I look forward to a wonderful year ahead. Happy reading!!

About Mrs. Michler:
I am truly excited for a great school year ahead! 2022-2023 will be a year of growth, exploration, and finding the joy in reading. My name is Emmee Michler and I am the school librarian. I am so excited to have the students back in person and have the opportunity to explore, discover, and expand their joy in reading.  Here at the St. Anthony School library, we offer an abundance of books that range from all genres. Whether your child enjoys fantasy to nonfiction, historical fiction to current events, enjoys a good mystery, or wants to learn how to cook, our library caters to every student's interests.

A little about myself: I attended Catholic schools for my primary and secondary years of education. I graduated with a B.A. in Communications and minored in Business from Western Washington University. My professional career before coming to St. Anthony gave me the opportunity to travel and learn about different cultures.  As a flight attendant for 17 years, I gained skills that I now bring into the library and to our students. After leaving the airline, a wonderful opportunity opened up at school. I have been with St. Anthony School for 7 years, with the last 3 years being the librarian. I share my life with a husband of 22 years, our daughters, both alumni of St. Anthony, and our dog, Blue.

Favorite Bible Verse:
