Welcome first graders to 1A! I am Mrs. Garcia. I am very excited that I get to work with you and your families this year. I look forward to a year full of learning, exploring, and fun.

A little about me:

I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and have lived in Washington state for over 30 years. I grew up in Issaquah and Sammamish. I have been working with children since graduating from high school. Since then, I became a certified Montessori Teacher, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. Recently I was accepted to the University of Notre Dame LEAD (Latino Educator and Administrator Development) program! I look forward to joining other Catholic school educators in a year-long fellowship and leadership development program. I have two wonderful children; my daughter Mia is in 8th grade and my son Nico is in 5rd grade at St. Anthony School.

 

This year will be my sixth year working at St. Anthony School. 

I am very grateful to be a part of this wonderful community.
